ACM SIGOPS ATC 2026 Workshop

State Management in Modern Parallel and Distributed Systems

A half-day workshop for researchers and practitioners working on state access, scheduling, migration, reuse, and memory-aware system design.

Date
Nov 15, 2026
Format
Half day
Location
Hong Kong

Why StateSys

State has become the critical systems resource.

Many services now depend on shared or long-lived state for performance, efficiency, and service quality. StateSys 2026 brings together work on how systems organize, access, schedule, evolve, migrate, and reuse state across cloud runtimes, data systems, storage stacks, serverless platforms, stream processing, graph systems, and model serving.

Workshop Date Sunday, November 15, 2026
Co-located With ACM SIGOPS ATC 2026
Duration Half-day workshop
Status Submissions are open

Call for Papers

Original research, system experience, position papers, and work in progress.

We invite submissions on state management in systems software and infrastructure. Relevant work may address production systems, experimental prototypes, measurement studies, benchmarks, or position papers that clarify open problems.

Submissions are open. Submit papers through the StateSys 2026 HotCRP site. Papers must be submitted directly in the required two-column format. The 4-page limit applies to the resulting two-column PDF and excludes references. Submission instructions and important dates are listed below.
Submission details and dates Format, length, reviewing model, and schedule
Submission requirements
Format Two-column ACM acmart format using \documentclass[sigplan,10pt]{acmart}, following the ATC 2026 formatting style. Submit the PDF in this two-column format; do not use the single-column manuscript option. Download the official ACM acmart package from CTAN.
Length Up to 4 pages in the resulting two-column PDF, excluding references.
Appendix Optional appendices may be included but are not guaranteed to be reviewed.
Reviewing Single-blind; author names and affiliations should appear on submissions.
Paper types Research papers, position papers, system experience reports, negative results, and work in progress are welcome.
Important dates
Paper submission deadline September 21, 2026, 11:59 p.m. AoE
